The World of Technology
Technology should be embraced by everyone; irrespective of vocation, professional field, or learning.
The world of technology as an umbrella field has enough room for creativity, solutions, and innovation in all fields and professional backgrounds. Not every techie is called to be software engineers. Coding is fantastic. Algorithms and engineering are foundational. The absence or inadequacy of tech tools should never be a deterrent to solutions engineering.
However, solutions engineering isn’t restricted to programming alone. Other paths and areas of specialization in embracing technology as a tool include but not limited to the following:
Techpreneurship/ tech founder, product management, product design, enterprise architecture, data sciences, business analytics, etc.
The ride into the tech space requires grit, resilience, staying power, focus, lots of time investment, and determination. Tech is certainly not for “wimps” as we fondly say but with doggedness and continually applying oneself, even the wimpiest wimps can become remarkable technologists; gender, academic/professional background regardless.
Looking forward to having several others join me on this journey of solutions engineering that’d transform Africa; especially young ladies and women alike. It certainly is prestigious to be known as a Woman in Tech.
